CJ Swears in New Magistrate

On Thursday November 17, 2022, the Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny - Dollo swore in HW Brenda Nakayi Mwesige as a Magistrate Grade I, at the Judiciary Headquarters, Kampala.
The Chief Justice urged the new Judicial Officer to ensure that she does give in to external pressure while executing judicial function. He stressed the importance of upholding the judicial oath.
The Hon. CJ, Hon. Justice Owiny -Dollo encouraged her to always be in charge of her court but also remain courteous.
"You have a future in front of you, you can make it or break it," he said. He reminded her of career judicial officers who have risen through the ranks to become Supreme Court justices such as Hon. Justice Stephen Musota and Hon. Justice Ruby Opio Aweri, among others.
The Chief Justice encouraged her to accept her deployment to any station as she begins her judicial officer.
The Chief Registrar, HW Sarah Langa Siu, has deployed HW Mwesige to the Commercial Court in the Chambers of Hon. Lady Justice Cornelia Kakooza Sabiiti as Magistrate Grade I Research.
